# Guesty multi-unit (MTL) properties: how guests book

When parent listings are synced, each Guesty multi-unit (MTL) parent imports into HomeRunner as a room-category listing with its unit count. Each one becomes its own bookable page with its own photos, description, and calendar.

**How guests book.** Guests browse to the property, choose the apartment type and their dates, and book that type. The specific physical unit is then assigned in Guesty after booking, similar to how a hotel assigns rooms.

**Letting guests choose a specific unit.** If you want guests to select a specific numbered unit with its own dedicated photo set, that unit must be independently listed to the Guesty Booking Engine. It then imports as its own listing page.

**Using both models.** Both models can run side by side in the same account, with some inventory as type-level parents and some as individually listed units.
