# Filtering properties by neighborhood instead of city

When all of your properties share the same postal address city, the city filter on your website cannot separate them. You can let guests filter by neighborhood names instead by using listing tags in your PMS, which flow to the website as Property Locations.

**Add location tags in your PMS.** In Guesty, open each listing and add a tag made of your account's location prefix followed by the neighborhood name, for example "(l) Kahana" or "(l) Kaanapali". The prefix tells HomeRunner to import that tag as a Property Location on the next sync. The prefix is configured per account; contact support to confirm yours.

**Turn on the location filter.** After the next sync:

1. Go to **Explorer Settings** in WordPress.
2. Find the **Filter Locations** box, directly below the **Filter Cities** box.
3. Check the neighborhoods you want to show.
4. Use Locations rather than Cities for the search filter.

Your guests then filter by the neighborhood names, and the postal city no longer appears anywhere guest-facing.

**Do not change the address city.** Leave the address city on the listing in your PMS as it is. Address lookups tend to snap it back to the postal city, and address edits can affect your channel listings.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
