# Pre-filtering the Explorer shortcode by archive term

You can pre-filter the Explorer shortcode by archive term on an archive page.

To pre-filter by property type, add the **type** parameter to the shortcode. For example, on an apartments archive page, use:

[homerunner-explorer type=apartment]
