# How search results are ordered

Search results on your booking engine follow a fixed default order. Featured listings appear first. After that, results are sorted by guest rating from highest to lowest, and the listing name is used alphabetically as a tiebreaker.

Because of this, a unit with few or no reviews appears behind every well-reviewed unit, and a brand-new listing starts at the back. This is expected behavior, not a misconfiguration.
