# Slow pricing and availability lookups with Guesty

Guests may find that pricing and availability lookups on your site are slow or return errors.

**Why this happens.** This slowdown can be caused by a brief surge of simultaneous live availability and rate lookups to Guesty across the platform, which temporarily creates a bottleneck at the Guesty connection. In this situation your site, server, and database remain healthy. The delays occur between the HomeRunner platform and Guesty's systems, not on your website. In the reported case, the issue resolved on its own in about 4 minutes, and no bookings or data were affected.

**Why you do not see it in your logs.** Pricing lookups go directly from your guests' browsers to the central HomeRunner platform and do not pass through your website's server, so they do not appear in your website's logs. This is expected behavior. It means any slowness of this type is upstream, not on your end.
