# Brand voice field adds extra backslashes

When you save the brand voice field in **Review Insights** settings, backslashes appear in front of quotes, apostrophes, and other special characters, and the number of backslashes doubles with each save.

**Why this happens.** This is a bug in Conversion Kit versions earlier than 1.38.4.

**How to fix it.** The bug is fixed in Conversion Kit version 1.38.4.

1. Update Conversion Kit to version 1.38.4 or later.
2. Re-enter the text in any affected fields, such as brand voice.
3. Save once.

Version 1.38.4 stores your text cleanly, and the backslashes do not build up again.
