# Updating text on social share preview images

When you share your site on Facebook, Slack, or in text messages, the link preview image (Open Graph image) does not update on its own. A property count or city list in the image shows only what was written when the image was created.

**Why this happens.** The preview image is a static image file with the text drawn into it. Nothing in it changes automatically, even when your listings change.

**Changing the wording.** Send support the exact text you want. The image is re-rendered and replaced on your site. New shares show the new version right away. Links shared before the update may keep showing the old preview until the platform refreshes its cached copy. Facebook provides a **Sharing Debugger** tool that lets you force that refresh.

**Keeping a number current.** If you want a number that always stays up to date, leave it off the image and rely on the live listing count displayed on your site.
