# Minimum stay and arrival rules from Guesty

When you change a minimum stay or an arrival or departure rule in Guesty, you do not need to make any changes to your website.

**Why this works.** The HomeRunner booking engine reads nightly rates and stay rules from Guesty and enforces them when a guest picks dates. This includes the per-date minimum stay and the check-in and check-out day rules (dates closed to arrival or departure).

**What to do.** Set the rule on the listing in Guesty. It reaches your website on the next calendar sync, the same way a rate change does.

When a guest selects a range that breaks a rule, the calendar blocks it and shows which rule stopped it, for example "requires a 6 night minimum" or "Can't check in on this date".
