# Guest messages reaching a personal email address

If a guest says they reached a team member at an unexpected personal email address, you may wonder whether a contact form on your HomeRunner site is sending messages there instead of to your main inbox.

**How contact forms are set up.** Contact forms usually send their notifications to your main contact inbox. The reply-to address is set to the guest's own email, so when you reply, the message threads straight back to the guest. Support can audit every contact form on your site to verify exactly where each one sends its notifications.

**Where a personal email can appear.** A team member's personal email might be stored in their own WordPress user profile. That address is not visible to the public and is not connected to any form.

**The most likely source.** When a guest reaches a team member at an unexpected address, the cause is most likely the booking or payment confirmation emails sent by your property management system, not the website. Those notification settings live on the PMS side, and you can review or update them there.
