# Adding Google Tag Manager to your site

Support can add Google Tag Manager (GTM) to your website.

**Before installation.** Support first checks whether GTM or any other analytics tracking is already installed on your site. Duplicate tags firing can corrupt your data. If the GTM container is already active through another plugin, support confirms that the existing setup is working and lets you know, rather than installing it a second time.

**Installation.** If GTM is not yet installed, it is added to the site header and footer.

To request this, send support your GTM container ID and a description of what you are trying to track.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
