# Alphabetical city order in the search bar

The cities in the **Where** dropdown of your website search bar may not appear in alphabetical order.

**Why this happens.** The dropdown follows the order in which cities were saved in HomeRunner under **Explorer settings**, in the **Where** field. This order is usually determined by which destinations have the most listings.

**How to change it.** To show cities in alphabetical order, manually reorder the selection in the **Where** field of **Explorer settings**. If you save the **Explorer settings** screen again for any other reason, the order resets, so keep this in mind when you make other changes there.

**If your site uses Searchbar Pro.** Searchbar Pro has a built-in **Alphabetical** option for the location list in its settings.
