# Charging cards or sending payment links

You may be looking for a way to charge, re-charge, or send a new payment link to a guest for an existing reservation. HomeRunner has no charge or re-charge control, either in the WordPress admin or in **HomeRunner Central**.

**Why this happens.** When a guest books through your site, the checkout collects their card through your Stripe account and passes it to Hostaway, attached to the new reservation. The charge itself happens in Hostaway, against that card on file, under the payment rules you have configured in Hostaway. HomeRunner never moves money, so there is nothing on the HomeRunner side to retry or re-send.

**What you can do.** To retry a failed card, collect a balance, or send the guest a payment request, go to that reservation in Hostaway and handle it there.

If you need to charge outside of Hostaway's payment flow:

1. Create a payment link or invoice in your own Stripe dashboard.
2. Record the result in Hostaway as a manual payment against the reservation, so the reservation's payment status stays accurate.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
