# Abandoned cart data for third-party email systems

You can have a third-party email system run your abandoned cart recovery sequence instead of the native HomeRunner recovery emails. This works through a custom outbound cart-abandon webhook integration.

**How it works.** When a guest abandons a booking and their email is captured, HomeRunner sends the cart details to the partner system. These details include a direct link back to the property with the guest's selected dates pre-filled. If the guest later completes a booking, HomeRunner sends a follow-up to the partner system to stop the recovery sequence, so the guest does not receive duplicate follow-up emails.

**Turn off native recovery emails.** On sites that use this integration, turn off the native HomeRunner recovery emails so guests are not contacted twice.
