# Iframe kiosks: detecting a completed booking

If your kiosk or another parent page shows your HomeRunner booking site inside an iframe, you may want the kiosk to react when a guest finishes a booking, for example by showing a splash screen.

**How it works.** This is not a built-in HomeRunner setting, but support can add a small site snippet to make it work. The snippet runs only on the booking confirmation page and, only when that page is loaded inside a frame, sends a browser postMessage with the text `bookingComplete` to the parent window. Your kiosk listens for that message and can then show a splash screen or any other content you want to display.

**When the signal fires.** The signal fires only for a completed booking. A confirmation page that is still collecting a payment method stays silent. Regular website visitors never trigger it, because their confirmation page is not inside a frame.

**What you control.** You keep full control of the splash content on your kiosk side. The site only sends the signal.

**Setting it up.**

1. Contact support and ask them to add the postMessage hook to your site.
2. Once it is added, run a test booking on the kiosk to confirm the splash appears as expected.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
