# No backup codes after two-factor setup

After you set up two-factor authentication on your website, you may not see any backup codes or spare keys mentioned. Nothing has gone wrong. On some sites and with certain authenticator apps, backup codes are not displayed during enrollment.

The 6-digit code from your authenticator app is all you need to log in each time.

If you would like backup codes added as an extra safety measure, support can set them up for you on request.
