# Property map pin in the wrong place

A property's map pin appears in the wrong place on your website, even though the address text is correct.

**Why this happens.** The website places each property's map pin at the latitude and longitude your PMS sends. It does not geocode the address itself, so a wrong pin means the coordinates stored in your PMS are wrong and need to be corrected there.

**How to fix it.**

1. Open the property in OwnerRez and confirm the street address.
2. Go to the location section under the map, turn on **Show exact location**, and click **Recalculate** so OwnerRez regenerates the coordinates from the address. If you prefer, you can drag the pin to the correct spot instead, then save.
3. The website picks up the new coordinates on its next sync with your PMS (hourly), and the page cache refreshes within about another hour. Reload the property page after that window.

If the pin is still wrong after a couple of hours, open the property in OwnerRez again and save it once more so the updated coordinates are sent on the next sync.

It is also worth running **Recalculate** on every property at once, since the same cause can affect any listing whose coordinates were never recalculated.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
